It is show and tell Monday at Make Mine pink. Here is what I have been working on this weekend. This weekend I finished making the weeks batch of hand painted roses, I make about one a week. I also made another batch of the locket necklaces with the anitique buttons. I did a different clasp this time, this one features my handmade rosettes.

Most of the ivory roses are sold already along with a few of the pinks. I will be starting another batch in a few days.

I love how this batch of lockets turned out.

This tussie mussie pin went fast!! I was only able to get three more dozen of the filigree at the moment, they still need to be plated before I can make them. I should have them plated in a few weeks, contact me to reserve one, I will be able to make them in any color. i am plating most of the filigrees for the tussie mussies in antique gold.

OK, who wouldn’t want to wear a tiara? Make Mine pink is having a tiara contest. In order to enter you must make your tiara and take a picture of you wearing it. I hope to have a tiara cram session this weekend. The winner get the following:

This year Joyce lucas, founder of Make Mine Pink , has been chosen to recieve an award from Country living Magazing 2008 Women Entrepeneur. This weekend, March 15, she will attend the Country Living Womens Entrepeneurs to recieve her award. At the convention Karen from Sweet Necessi Teas, Sharon from Cest Chouette, Dianne from Mamas Pocket Book, and Roxie from Business in the Bag will be pitching their product to the Country Living panel. This is a great honour, way to go girls!!

I started making these along time ago, it’s been a few years since I made up a batch. I just love them. They are handpainted out of 100% silk fabric and then texturized and sewn into a rose.

I just started listing them on my site Meadow Street and should have more listed this weekend.

My Friend Tina at Garden Goose is having a giveaway in honor of leap year and her magazine Small Town Living. Oh how I would love to live in a small town where there’s actually some space around you. We’re packed in like sardines here in California. It was worse when I lived at the beach. Yes I grew up in at the beach in So. Ca. I went from walking distance of all of 5 min to driving distance of 45 min. I miss the beach, but it is very crowded and expensive. It would take me 20 min to get to the grocerey store that was 1 mile away! I also have a front and back yard and a big garage which is rare to have living at the beach. Small town life does sound good though.

Yes!! I went!
Yesterday was the Romantic Homes book signing event to launch their new book “Vintage Vavoom”. It was at the Mc Charles house in Tustin California. The house is beautiful and has a tea pot on the roof.

I met the editors and enjoyed the entertainment. There was a raffle for prizes donated by myself and many of my friends at Make Mine Pink.

Lot of other goodies to enjoy too!

It’s been pouring rain here in California all weekend, so I stayed in and created! The only problem is that it has been difficult to photograph the latest treasures. I got a few pictures in right before a big black rain cloud decided to park itself over my house the rest of the day. They are saying rain for tomorrow too. So here are a few of the latest creations.

I made lots of Vintage button bracelets in many colors, blue, pinks, black, carmel, creamy white, and some other really vintage combinations.
